From Manila, there is a choice between South East Asian Airline (SEAIR) and Island Transvoyager Inc. (ITI) The flight takes about one (1) hour and fifteen (15) minutes.
There are many places to choose from to enjoy EL Nido. Let’s pick one; the 5 star Miniloc Island Resort. A 40-minute pump-boat ride from the town of EL Nido will take you here. It is set in a cove with the backdrop of towering pointed limestone cliff and takes pride in its two lagoons.
The bigger lagoon offers tranquil clear blue waters with corals clearly visible below; well-loved especially by kayakers. The smaller lagoon, on the other hand, is snorkelers’ pick where they can swim alongside multi-colored tropical fishes like 3-foot long groupers and hundreds of sergeant major, among others.
The resort has 50 varying types of room accommodations whose rates range from 22,000 Php (more or less 44, 000 Yen) per room per night to 30,000 Php (more or less 60,000 Yen) per room per night. It has a complete set of diving and snorkeling facilities, as well as, kayaks, aqua bikes, windsurf and hobie cat; a restaurant at the clubhouse, Pavilion bar, theater-style and classroom-style conference rooms and other amenities to guarantee that “paradise” experience.
Incidentally, Miniloc Island started as a diving station for Japanese and European tourists.
